Your money, sorted — as you go

Settings theme, formatting, and data controls

Data & backups

Everything is stored only in this browser — nothing syncs anywhere on its own. Export a backup regularly (especially before clearing your browser or switching devices), the same way you'd back up any other important file.

AI Money Ideas two ways to power this — pick one, or set up both

Option A — shared relay (free credit, works out of the box)

Option B — your own API key (no cap, bypasses the relay)

If you add your own key here, it's used instead of the shared relay — sent directly from your browser to Anthropic, never through anyone else's server, and with no shared cap. Anyone with access to this browser's dev tools could see a key stored here, so only use one you're comfortable being on this device, and you can revoke it any time from the Anthropic console above.

Features turn sections on or off so tabs only show what you actually use

Household & Income, Buckets, the basic Ledger, and your Savings Goal Tracker always stay on — everything below is optional extra power for people who want it.

App Overview what each tab does, in plain English

🏠 Dashboard — the fun front page: your live tax refund estimate, where your money's going, and progress on your goals.

💰 Income — your pay, household setup, super, and (if turned on) payslips.

🐷 Savings — your buckets, Mojo & Grow, and (if turned on) Big Goals like a car or holiday.

💳 Debt — (if turned on) paying off debts faster and mortgage extra repayments.

📊 Net Worth — (if turned on) what you own vs. what you owe, plus investments.

🧾 Tax — your live tax return detail, and (if turned on) travel deductions and industry ideas.

📒 Ledger — log every dollar in and out, with (if turned on) bank import and recurring bills.

💡 Feedback — tell the person who built this what's broken, confusing, or missing.

⚙️ Options — you're here. Theme, data, and which sections show up.

Turn features on/off above anytime — nothing you've entered gets deleted when you hide a section, it's just tucked away.

Payslips log each payslip so your Tax Refund Tracker uses real numbers, not guesses

Once you've logged at least one payslip, its total tax withheld automatically feeds your Tax Refund Tracker on the Dashboard and Tax tab — no need to also fill in the manual "actual withheld" field there.

Bank Import upload a bank export — group similar transactions, categorise once, it remembers next time

Works with most bank/Xero-style CSV exports (Date, Description, Amount columns). Nothing is added to your Ledger until you review and confirm below.

Remembered categories rules learned from past imports — edit or remove anytime

Ledger & Reconciliation backfill real income/costs (paste out of Xero) to see what each account should actually hold

Live Tax Return — Detail the breakdown behind the Dashboard number

Leave this blank for a rough "boost from deductions" estimate. Fill it in (or use the Payslips section in Income) for a proper refund/owing figure. Assumes standard PAYG withholding otherwise — your real refund depends on your actual payslips and any other income or offsets.

Travel, KMs & Fuel cents-per-km method — 2026–27 ATO rate

Rate: 91¢/km · capped at 5,000 km per car (max $4,550)
The cents-per-km rate already bundles in fuel, servicing, insurance, rego, and depreciation — don't also log your fuel receipts separately, or you'll double up. This method suits occasional work trips (client visits, second job sites, picking up supplies); if you drive a lot more than 5,000km for work, the logbook method (a 12-week logbook + actual running costs) usually claims more — talk to your accountant about which suits you. Only sole traders, partnerships, and employees can use this method for their own car; it doesn't require a logbook but the ATO can still ask how you arrived at the km figure.

Deduction Ideas by Industry common examples for the 5 most-searched trades & jobs — not an exhaustive list

These are general starting points, not a ruling on your situation — the ATO's own occupation and industry guides cover dozens of specific jobs in more detail. You can only claim something if you actually spent the money, weren't reimbursed, it relates directly to earning your income, and you can show a record of it.

Tax Time your live deduction record — export it straight to your accountant, no Xero subscription required

This is a personal record to hand to your accountant or use in myTax — it isn't a lodgment and doesn't check ATO substantiation rules for you.

Archived years past financial years, snapshotted so Tax Time doesn't grow forever

Mojo & Grow held at a separate institution — outside the 100% split above

Savings Goal Tracker

Superannuation balance, growth, and a quick cap check

Net Worth super + other assets, minus what you owe

Other assets savings, shares, investment property equity, etc.

Your super balance and total debt are pulled in automatically from the Income and Debt tabs — no need to re-enter them here.

Investments & Other Income dividends, interest, rent, capital gains — broken down by type

"Prospective gains" are unrealised — you haven't sold, so no tax is owed yet. Individuals held over 12 months usually get a 50% CGT discount on the taxable portion; this is a rough guide, not a substitute for a tax agent working out your actual cost base.

Big Goals new car, a house deposit, next holiday — anything you're saving toward

Debt Payoff list what you owe, pick a strategy, see the order to attack it

Payoff plan

This shows the order and math of paying it off yourself — it isn't a loan, refinance, or consolidation product, and doesn't check your credit or negotiate with anyone. If debt is causing real stress, the National Debt Helpline (1800 007 007, free) can actually negotiate with lenders — this tool can't.

Mortgage Extra Repayments see what extra repayments actually save you

Without extra repayments
With extra repayments
Assumes a standard principal-and-interest loan with a fixed rate for the life of the loan and extra payments applied every period without exception — real loans, redraw rules, and rate changes will differ. Check with your lender or a mortgage broker before making extra repayments (some loans charge break fees).

Affordability Check do your goals, debt extra, and mortgage extra actually fit inside your income?

Investment Bucket Strategy plan the split once a goal bucket is full — not personalised advice

AI Money Ideas general information only — not financial advice

This gives general information and things to think about — it never tells you what to actually do with your money, and it isn't a substitute for a real accountant, tax agent, or financial adviser. It only sees the summary of your own data shown below each answer — never anyone else's, because there's no shared server for other people's data to even exist on.

Disclaimer please actually read this one

This is not financial, tax, or legal advice. This tool is a personal project, built and still being tested — it is not a licensed, professional, or regulated product. Nobody involved in building it is a financial adviser, accountant, mortgage broker, or tax agent, and nothing it shows you is a recommendation to do anything with your money.

The numbers may be wrong. Tax brackets, Medicare levy, HECS thresholds, super rates, and every calculation on this page are estimates based on publicly available 2026–27 rules, entered and coded by hand. They have not been checked by an accountant. The "Live Tax Return," debt payoff, and mortgage figures are simplified illustrations, not calculations you should rely on for a real decision — always confirm against your own payslips, loan documents, and a real professional before acting.

We're playing around. This is a work-in-progress test build. Features may break, change, or disappear without warning, and there's no support team behind it. If you're trying it out, treat it as a rough prototype, not a finished product — and don't rely on it for anything time-sensitive or important.

Your data is private to you. Everything you enter — income, ledger entries, receipt photos, goals, debts — is stored on your device and backed up privately to your own account so it syncs to any device you log into. It's locked to your login: nobody else can see it, and it's never sold or shared. You can also export a JSON backup any time from Settings.

The optional AI Money Ideas feature only works if you add your own Anthropic API key, and it sends your question straight from your browser to Anthropic — nothing passes through any server belonging to this app, because there isn't one. It's built to give general information and things to consider, never personal advice, and it only ever sees the brief summary of your own data shown in the app — never anyone else's.

If you're dealing with real debt stress, please skip the calculator below and talk to a free, genuine service instead: in Australia, the National Debt Helpline is free, independent, and government-funded — call 1800 007 007 (Mon–Fri) or visit ndh.org.au. They can actually negotiate with lenders on your behalf, which nothing on this page can do.

By using this tool you accept it exactly as described above: an unfinished, unverified, non-professional test project. Use it for fun, use it to get a rough feel for your numbers, but make real decisions with a real professional and your own source documents.
